Would you have believed stories like this when you were younger? Why or why not?

I’m not shore if my sister told I wouldn’t believe it but if mum did that’s a different story but I believed in drop bears.
Probably yes because I would have believed anything that someone told me when I was 5 and when you are 5 you don’t really know what is true and what is not true and if you have a brother or sister and you look up to them then you would probably believe anything they said.

Yes, I would have because I believed nearly everything I heard. But some of the things I would have known about in the story, so some of it I wouldn’t have even believed!

Do the names of the animals make them more believable? Why or whynot?

They doesn’t seem believable because the name are not like tiger or cows.
Yes because you wouldn’t have ever heard them before and you would believe it more.
Well, it really depends. If the text sounds believable the more you would want to believe it. Otherwise if it doesn’t sound too believable, I would not believe it.
Was the narrator’s family being mean in not telling him about the joke?

No because they just were going along with the joke.
Yes because you could tell people at school or your friends and they could laugh at you and tease you.
Well, no not exactly. I mean the boy was at a young age at probably believed everything he heard when he was small. So maybe the joke was just for a little bit of fun!
How would you describe the relationship between the writer and his brother?

I think it’s very good because he took his little brother without the little brother nagging and he wanted to take him.
I think they had a great relationship like how they explored things together and how the younger one believed the older brother in everything.
I think it would be a little interesting. It’s very obvious that the boy loves fantasy stories and gets sucked in and really appealed.

Would you have believed stories like this when you were younger? Why or why not?
probably yes but i wouldnt have beleived the tennis ball was an egg.
I probably would’ve because I believed most things but I may have asked some questions and if the answers to the questions were believable for a 5 year old then I would’ve.
Yes I would have but maybe not the tennis ball because I knew what that was.
Do the names of the animals make them more believable? Why or whynot?
eoifliox was a bit but shockle bockle wasnt.
When I was 5 I probably would have believed in the eoflifolox and shocklebockle, because their names sound like names that 5 year olds would like and I believed names like that when I was younger.
No I would have learnt about it in preschool if it was real.
Was the narrator’s family being mean in not telling him about the joke?
no they thought it was funny so the joined in.
No, it would not harm him not to know and he may as well enjoy it, besides they may tell him when he was older.
Sort of because the little one could have thought it was mean while the other would think that it was just a joke.
How would you describe the relationship between the writer and his brother?
it must have been good cause the boy beleived his bro!
Very good because they hang out together (Like when they went to the golf course) and the younger one looked up to the older one.
They are really close to each other because the older brother tells the little brother about nature and all of this other stuff.
